Working at sea
When we think of working at sea on board a ship, we usually first think of captains, officers, engineers, crew, etc. However, for the complex workings of a ship to function perfectly, the vessel requires other professionals such as kitchen and catering staff, cleaning, security, maintenance and many others. If the ship is a cruise ship or a ferry, it will require even more additional personnel from different professional sectors.
The certifications required to perform any profession on board a vessel are:
- Basic Maritime Safety Training (70 hours)
- Crowd and Crisis Management (35 hours)
- Proficiency in Security Awareness (8 hours)
Conditions and requirements
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Valid ID, NIE or Passport.
All courses will be confirmed by email.
To gurantee the quality and price of our courses, Yacht Point reserves the right to cancel or postpone the dates of any course that does not reach the minimum number of students. Cancellations may be made up to one week before the start date. In this case, yacht Point will refund the registration fee, but will not cover any indirect costs related to flights, accommodation or any other type of cost.
