Conditions and requirements

 

Pre-Course Knowledge Assessment

Before attending the course, candidates must complete and successfully pass an online Pre-Course Knowledge Assessment.

This assessment ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge before joining the practical instructor training programme.

Candidates should have Yachtmaster Offshore experience, hold the appropriate qualifications and demonstrate a high level of competence.

Required Certificates

Candidates must hold:

  • A valid First Aid Certificate.

  • MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence.

  • A valid Commercial Endorsement.

  • Successful completion of the online Pre-Course Knowledge Assessment.

Note: RYA membership is required to obtain instructor qualifications.

 

Syllabus

Course Content

During the course, you will receive:

  • Guidance on student training and development.

  • Training in observation and constructive feedback.

  • Comprehensive guidance on course and lesson planning.

  • Daily feedback from instructor trainers.

  • A personalised action plan for your future development.
